This precious baby is Sage. Sage and two friends were dumped in the yard of our veterinarian. We knew these babies needed to be in a home with people who would love them forever, so we made them Stinkers and promised to find that home for them! The vet believes Sage is a Pekingese/Chihuahua mix and that she is about three to four years old. We also suspect she could be a Shih Tzu/Rat terrier mix. Unfortunately, Sage was not well cared for by her previous human and she has lost most of her hair. She is presently being treated for that. Even though she is a doll baby now, she is going to be even more adorable when her hair grows back in! Sage's foster mom said she is a loving little girl with that small dog spunk. Even though she isn't feeling too great right now, she still wants to cuddle and get love from her foster family. Sage presently lives in a home with an older teenager and plenty of other dogs and she gets along with them all just great! She would probably be best in a home without young children. She is crate trained and house trained. Sage's adoption fee is $175. This includes her dhpp & rabies vaccines, heartworm test and prevention (through date of adoption), flea and tick prevention (through date of adoption), spay, and microchip. Meet KEEBLER, a 5 to 6-year-old Pekingese. If you know pekes, you know they can be confident, lively, playful and independent (sometimes stubborn), yet incredibly sensitive, as well as loyal and affectionate if treated well. This is not a dog for children; Keebler will not tolerate rough handling and doesn't respond well to scolding. But get out a biscuit and he'll do just about anything you want him to do. Keebler loves toys and plays well with other small dogs, as long as they don't try to dominate him. He doesn't like bigger dogs. If you appreciate a dog who thrives on mutual respect, this little elf may be the dog for you. Keebler can go home after he is neutered on July 25. Apply for him online at www.savethestrays.org or email firstname.lastname@example.org for our application. Adoption fee: $225. (Less)
