Date into Rescue: 8/22/2017 Reason for being in rescue:Owner release to nc shelter Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? none noted Weight: 18.8 lbs Height: Estimated 10' at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $349 Fence needed? No, I'm a fence climber. What kind of home would be best for me? I want a home where I can be with my humans for the most part of the day. I need to be wherever they are! I would prefer to be the only pampered pooch but I might be okay another calm dog. I will just have to meet them first. What is my personality like? Did you know that the Pekingese breed of dogs were gifts to the fancy royal humans in China? I am royalty and I hold myself as such. I'm not afraid of a thing in the world. Especially with humans.. I give my total trust to them and get attached very quickly. I deserve all of the attention in the world but I can't get that here at the farm with 200 dogs around me. I need to find a home. I radiate with confidence and it definitely shows. I walk in any room in any situation and not think twice about it. I walk well on a leash but I don't know any basic commands yet. I love attention and stuffed animal toys.. I could play with them all day. How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly. More tips and tidbits: I was an owner release to a North Carolina shelter, My owner just claimed I tried to climb the fence and didn't want me anymore. If only my owner would have known I just wanted to be next to him. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: Estimated birth date 8/21/2015 (Less)
Cherokee County South Carolina
|Rescue Me ID: 17-08-22-00252Abby (female)|
It will take someone special to have my heart. Date into Rescue: 6/2/2017 Reason for being in rescue: owner release to shelter, can't afford. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? none noted Weight: Estimated 11 lbs Height: Estimated 12' at the shoulder. Adoption Fee: $299 Fence needed? I don't need a fence, but it would be good to have one due to me being afraid of leashes. What kind of home would be best for me? I need somewhere quiet to lay my head at night. I also need a owner who is not afraid of a challenging dog. What is my personality like? Could you help me become the dog I have the potential to be? My name is Abby, I was an owner release to a local shelter due to my owner not having the funds to support me. I am believed to be a Tibetan Spaniel mix, possibly with pekingese. Let me take a minute to describe myself.. I am scared. My world has been flipped up side down and I really need a special person to be my human. Love is patient and kind.. and I hope I can find that in my forever home. It takes patience to be able to pet me, but I promise it is worth it and I will thank you with gentle kisses. Leashes are frightening when someone brings one close.. but once it is on me I am ready to stroll through the grass. I've been told I look like I belong strutting through a mansion wearing a long fuzzy robe and giving orders. I am beautiful, sophisticated, and smart.. but do not let my girly figure fool you, I like to run! How do I act when I first meet new people? Be warned, I can be snappy but after I know you are an okay person I will let you pet me. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: Estimated birth date 5/31/2011 (Less)

|Animal ID: 17-07-08-00287Keebler (male)|
Meet KEEBLER, a 5 to 6-year-old Pekingese. If you know pekes, you know they can be confident, lively, playful and independent (sometimes stubborn), yet incredibly sensitive, as well as loyal and affectionate if treated well. This is not a dog for children; Keebler will not tolerate rough handling and doesn't respond well to scolding. But get out a biscuit and he'll do just about anything you want him to do. Keebler loves toys and plays well with other small dogs, as long as they don't try to dominate him. He doesn't like bigger dogs. If you appreciate a dog who thrives on mutual respect, this little elf may be the dog for you. Keebler can go home after he is neutered on July 25. Apply for him online at www.savethestrays.org or email email@example.com for our application. Adoption fee: $225. (Less)
