Pekingese    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Alma (cream) and Tillie (brown) are two great examples of why you have to be careful when purchasing a new dog. Alma and Tillie came from a puppy mill where their only job was to produce puppies for sale. They never received love and affection. They never knew life in a home or a life as a family pet. When they were no longer able to produce a profit they were discarded. That is the sad life of a puppy mill dog. Alma and Tillie have been in rescue now for nearly 5 years, waiting for the chance at a real life and a forever home. Alma is 11 years old and Tillie is 10 years old. These adorable girls will need a home with a very patient person, ... (Read More)as they do not know how to receive affection. They shy away from it, but when they are held they melt in your arms. They also need a home with understanding, as they are not completely housebroken. Alma and Tillie are bonded and because Tillie is nearly blind, she relies on Alma to get around. These two need you! They need that very special person out there with the time and the patience to offer these two girls the life they have never known! They will do best in a home with no children. A home with a fenced in area may be ideal for them. Wild Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that relies on donations for the continued care of the animals. Animal ID: 1141Pete (male)

Pekingese    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This adorable little guy is Pete, an adult male Pekingese whose past we don't know much about. What we believe is that his past may have involved some neglect and or even abuse. You see, Pete has what we like to call a "Peke-tude" and can get a little grumpy. However, we believe this attitude is actually due to an injury. We will know more once he is neutered and has his x-rays done. Until then we will continue to search for a forever home. Pete will need a home with a patient and experienced pet owner. He will need to be in a home with no children. Pete does enjoy affection and playing with squeaky toys. And when he has recovered ... (Read More)we believe he will enjoy so much more about life. It's time to end the cycle of uncertainty and distrust, Pete deserves all the love and acceptance a forever home has to offer!
