Rescue Me ID: 16-09-10-00555Susie (female)
Susie is a nice little one-year-old female Pekingese/Poodle-mix looking for a loving guardian. Susie was found stray in Chicago. She was not micro-chipped and had no collar with tags. Her original family was never located. Susie is nervous with new people at first, but will do anything for a treat! So, she'll bond closely with anyone who works with her and trains her. Susie will be vetted upon adoption. Her adoption fee of $250 benefits Famous Fido's Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Susie please fill in the adoption application at http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by contacting Gloria at email@example.com or 773-907-0305. Susie is currently at the Famous Fido Rescue Headquarters at 3124 W. Irving Park Road (at Troy Street) in Chicago. Please call Gloria at 773-907-0305 to make an appointment to meet her and all the other wonderful dogs and cats at the shelter. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-03-00408Toto (male)
Toto is a 5 year old Pekingese mix who was surrendered by his owners due to a 'lifestyle change'. He seems confused and sad in his kennel but did take interest in a stuffed kong. I think this sweet boy would really open up and flourish in a loving and patient home. Please come meet him and see if he could be your new family member! This organization has a policy that adopters live within 50 miles of Tinley Park.

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-28-00325Sunny (male)
Sunny is a sassy and energetic, five-year-old, 15-pound, male purebred Pekingese looking for a loving guardian. This boy is quite the character! He is a happy guy with a proud fluffy wagging tail. His jaw had been broken in his past, sadly possibly due to abuse, so his tongue often hangs out on the side. But, that just adds to his considerable charm. Sunny is affectionate with his people but he does carry some baggage and likes to guard his food and toys which can cause him to grumble, growl or even snap. So, he's recommended for a dog-experienced adult-only home. Sunny gets along with most dogs - best with females - but barks at cats. He enjoys his walks and going for rides in the car. Since Sunny was neutered later in life, he has not perfected his housebreaking yet, so he wears a belly band in the home when he is not crated. Sunny is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm and fecal tested, and micro-chipped. He even had a recent dental. If you would like to meet and possibly adopt Sunny, please contact Maria at firstname.lastname@example.org He is being fostered in Lincolnwood, Illinois. His adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued pets of Rescue Tails Animal Welfare. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-18-00474Suni (male)
Suni is a sassy 4 year old male Pekingese in need of a special adopter who will accept him with some emotional baggage. Suni is an owner relinquish who appears to have been abused in his past. He has a healed broken jaw causing his face to be a bit crooked and his tongue to hang out on the left side of his mouth. Suni has issues with food aggression and will not do well in a home with children or other dogs. Suni enjoys playing and running with dogs his size so he would do well in their company but probably best not to live with them. Suni wants to be loved and to trust people. His history causes him to growl when touched and he gradually relaxes and improves as he knows his person. He will likely never be 100% free of his issues but he should relax more over time. Suni plays with his toys and plays chase with the other dogs in the house. He is unsure of cats and finds them fun to bark at but does not chase them. Suni needs an adopter who realizes he has prior damage and will accept him on his terms. If you are willing to do that and have dog experience with a lot of love in your heart, we are happy to talk to you about adopting Suni. Suni is neutered, micropchipped, up to date with his vaccinations, had a dental, heartworm check and fecal. He is charming and learning his potty manners. If you would like to learn more about him feel free to contact us. If you would like to adopt him, we can email you an application. (Less)
