Rescue Me ID: 16-10-23-00484Winston (male)

Pekingese    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Winston is a 18lb, 4-5YO Pekingese. Winston was someones pet, but we believe they just used him for breeding until they decided they didn't want him anymore. Winston's 'family' asked our rescue partners to take him in, so we decided to help them and bring him to CO. He is now in CO and ready to find his forever home. Winston is as sweet as can be! Winston is great with all people and dogs. Winston loves to play with toys and we bet he would love to play with other dogs, although the foster doesn't have other dogs so we haven't tested out playtime. He gets along with dogs great though on walks and during social outings. Winston loves ... (Read More)to play fetch and is great at it. If Winston had his ideal life it would be snuggled up on the couch with his new family all day every day with a little play time. Winston does seem pretty potty trained. Winston also seems to be crate trained and doesn't bark. Sometimes it seems men scare him, but he gets over it very quickly when they say hi to him and never actually shows any aggression toward them, just initial nervousness. Winston would do well in a home with older kids who know how to handle a small dog, or with an older person or couple looking for a lap dog or companion. Winston is incredibly affectionate and just wants all the love he hasn't had yet, he is making up for lost time! Any family would be incredibly lucky to have Winston as an addition. If you are interested in adopting Winston, please send us an application, which can be found at You can also follow our fb page as we post about dogs there we have not yet listed for adoption!
